Media Release: C.O.Booth Law & Advisory opens in Dubbo

As farmers and other regional businesses face the growing impacts of extreme weather patterns, against a backdrop of growing interest in renewable energy and increasing environmental accountability, it’s clear that getting the right legal advice is more important than ever.

It’s these reasons, and a desire to help clients build and protect their legacies, that law firm, C.O.Booth Law & Advisory, officially opened their doors at 262 Macquarie Street in Dubbo recently, celebrating their launch with local professional service providers and colleagues.

“I am passionate about helping individuals, families, and businesses build and protect their wealth, and then pass it on to the next generation when the time is right”, said Claire Booth, Solicitor Director.

“We work a lot with farming families and agribusiness. In many cases, a successful farm represents the compounding of many generations of long term wealth. As a result of that, when dealing with matters such as succession planning or even new renewable energy projects, we’re dealing with the legacy of not just one person, but many family members across multiple generations.”

“It’s an important job. One that requires empathy, and a lot of collaboration, whether that’s between family members, or with financial planners, accountants, bankers, and other farm advisors. We take our role in people’s lives incredibly seriously, and I'm very proud of the way our clients have trusted us as we’ve started this new chapter together.”

The C.O.Booth Law and advisory team’s key areas of practice include farm succession planning, wills and estate planning, taxation law, and all areas of agribusiness, including renewable energy projects, tax and water licensing.

Unlike what you may expect from traditional law firms, C.O.Booth Law & Advisory team members work a condensed 4 day work week, empowering them to spend more time with their families. They also have set clear guidelines around cyber security to manage threats to their business and clients, and have a strong focus on protecting the mental health of their team and clients.

“I’m proud to be able to open a modern firm that reflects our values: trust, excellence, and collaboration,” said Claire. “Our client’s needs are often a little out of the ordinary, which means we have to operate a little out of the ordinary too.”
